The research work in the Institute is realized according to perspective and annual plans of research activity of the Institute and departments, provides the fundamental and applied research projects.

The problems of scientific research in the Institute of higher education is caused by modern actual problems of social development of region, breadth of scientific interests of the scientists working in the Institute, participation in scientific work of representatives of different institutes of higher education, the organizations and institutions with which departments cooperate. Scientific researches in the Institute are conducted on 19 scientific themes. Their problems is caused by necessities of region; scientific interests of the scientists working in the Institute; participation in scientific work of professors of different high schools, the organizations and institutions with which departments cooperate. Among priority problems are emphasized: "Development, socialization and education of the person in conditions of poly-cultural educational space" (Department of Applied Psychology and Pedagogics); "Sociocultural integration of the regional community" (Department of Sociology and Social Work); "Alternative forms of the legal conflicts' settlements" (Department of Civil Disciplines); "Formation of the regional mechanism of functioning of the taxation system, the account, audit and the analysis of economic activities" (Department of Taxes, Accounting, the Analysis and Audit); "Working out and introduction of subject-oriented economic information systems in the modern organizations" (Department of Applied Information Science and Mathematics); "Linguistic, pragmatic and didactic aspects of the analysis of the text" (Department of Linguistics and the Intercultural Communication).

The problems of scientific research in the Institute of higher education is caused by modern actual problems. In the Institute within 12 years the scientific school "Humanization and Personally Developmental Technologies of the Education" has been working (which is directed by the Dr.(second Ph.D.), professor E.N.Shiyanov). Together with the Southern branch of the Russian Academy of Education (RAO) the program "Humanization and Personal Developmental Technologies in Conditions of Socio-political Crisis on Northern Caucasus " was developed.

Within the limits of the International Slavic Academy of education of J.A.Komenskij (Tiraspol) the program "Personally Focused Education in Conditions of Slavic cultures" is developed.

Since 2002 scientists have been realizing the scientific conferences on the theme: "Individual Development as Humanization Strategy of Education". With the framework of the scientific school 68 dissertations were prepared.

The results of the scientific activity of the high school are presented in monographs, textbooks and training aids, articles, theses of reports, and also in dissertation researches. 38 monographs with the total size of 459.8 printed pages and 39 textbooks and training aids (384.5 printed pages) have been published in various publishing houses of the country during the period from 2000 to 2005; including with a signature stamp of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation - 4; with signature stamp Teaching and Methodical department - 10; with a signature stamp of the Ministry of Internal Affairs - 1. On results of the competition on the best scientific book, founded by Fund of the native education development, in 2003 the best were recognized the training aids of E.N.Shiyanov and S.V.Nedbaeva, R.A.Merzlikina, G.D.Gritsenko.

Scientists, post-graduate students and competitors of the high school accept an active participation in the conferences of various levels. Within last 5 years professors of the Institute participated in 354 scientific conferences, including: international - 90, Russian - 65, departmental - 6, regional - 39, inter-regional - 43. The Institute regularly acts as the organizer of large, including inter-regional and All-Russian conferences. Conferences have been hold in the period from 2000 to 2005: "Education, Upbringing and Moral Values" (the international conference devoted to the 2000-anniversary of Christianity, 2000г.), "Healthy city - healthy children" (regional conference, 2001г.), "The Psychological Resource in Economy and Business " (the All-Russian conference, 2002г). In 2004 in the Institute the first international conference "The Society and the Person: Integration, Partnership, Social Protection" has taken place, in which teachers of 32 high schools from 25 regions of Russia have taken part, representatives of high schools from Ukraine, Moldova, Canada (Winnipeg). On results of the conferences 7 collections of the scientific reports' theses (125.48 printed pages) are published.
